
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Carleton College, ranked 10th in the ITA Central Region poll, handed Coe it's second home loss of the season Sunday 7-2. The Kohawks, ranked 17th in the region, is 17-5 overall on the year.
The Kohawks fell behind 3-0 after doubles, including two losses by less then two games. Coe lost at number one singles 8-6 as Peter Dunn and Paul Cooper beat Curtis Newman and Noah Sprinkel. At number two doubles, Jon Aranda and Dan Vollman beat Jeff Damisch and Michael Woolf 9-8.
Coe's two wins came at number one and two singles. Sprinkel downed Dunn 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 at number one singles. At number two singles, senior Victor Khristenko (Orel, Russia) beat Avery Rux 6-4, 6-4.
The Kohawks return to action on Friday, as they travel to Kalamazoo, Mich. to face Kalamazoo College.
