MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - The Coe women's track and field team placed fourth Saturday at the Cornell Invite. Sophomore
Ashley Schnell earned the Kohawks only win of the day in the 3,000-meter run.
Alisia Denny and
Michelle Moorehead earned points for the Kohawks in the first event of the day with their third and fifth place finishes in the 55-meter dash.
Naomi Hillsman and
Kim Kuda followed that with second and fourth place finishes in the 400-meter dash.
Coe earned another high finish from
Jessie Robison in the 800-meter run with her second place finish, falling just :02.4 from first place.
Katie Flores earned a second place finish in the 1,000-meter run.
Schnell earned the Kohawks first win of the day in the 3,000-meter run. Her time of 10:26.9 was over :30 faster than Allie Jagielo of Cornell. Denny earned another high finish in the 55-meter hurdles, falling just .34 behind Barb Kremer of Loras for first place.
The Kohawks return to action next Saturday as they travel to the Dubuque Invite.
