CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A 14-1 run by Dubuque late in the second half handed the Kohawks a 77-64 loss Saturday at Eby Fieldhouse.  It was the final home game for senior Calie Sobaski (Iowa City, Iowa/City), who finished with 10 points and four steals.
Coe jumped all over the Spartans early in the game, but slowly let Dubuque take over the game.  With the game tied, Coe went on a 9-0 to bust the game open.  Dubuque came firing back, finishing the first half on a 21-8 run before sophomore Kayla Lincoln (Maynard, Iowa/West Central) hit a 3-point basket with :45 left in the first half to make it 28-27 Dubuque at the break.

The Kohawks took a one-point lead with 18:54 to play on back-to-back baskets by Sobaski, but that would be the final time the Kohawks would lead on their home floor this season.  Coe used a 5-1 run to cut the lead to one with 15:05 to play, but the big run by Dubuque followed to put the game away.

The Spartans put their lead into double-digits with a 9-0.  A 13-6 run by Coe cut the Spartan lead to seven with 1:20 remaining, but a 12-6 run by Dubuque in the final 1:19 put the game away.  The Spartans scored 12 of their final 14 points from the free throw line.

Three Kohawks scored in double-figures led by sophomore Sarah Anciaux's (Iowa City, Iowa/City) game-high 20 points.  Lincoln also added in 19 points on 4-for-8 shooting from 3-point shooting, while also dishing out a game-high seven assists.  Anciaux also connected on 3-for-4 3-point shooting.

With the Coe loss today, Luther clinched one of the final two Iowa Conference Tournament berths.  Coe will look to clinch the final playoff berth with a win over Wartburg Wednesday night.  Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Waverly.
