GRINNELL, Iowa- Sophomore Ashley Schnell (Lincoln, Neb./North Star) and senior Brad O'Neil (Stuarts Draft, Vir./Stuarts Draft) led the Kohawks at the NCAA Regional today, hosted by Grinnell College. Schnell finished in eighth place, tying Tiffany Foster's eighth place finish in 2002 for the highest NCAA Regional finish in Coe history.

Schnell helped the women's team to an 18th place finish overall.

O'Neil finished ninth overall in a time of 25:48. O'Neil's ninth place finish is the highest at the NCAA Regionals for any Kohawk in school history. The men's team placed 11th overall, which topped last season's 14th place finish for the highest NCAA Regional finish in school history.

While both Schnell and O'Neil will likely be invited to the NCAA National Championships, the official entrants list will be released by the NCAA on Sunday.

Two Kohawk juniors also finished in the top 50, as Ryan Schroeder (Byron, Ill./Byron) placed 31st and Lane Moser (Wapello, Iowa/Wapello) placed 48th.
