Schnell continued her impressive late season run Friday by qualifiying for the finals in both the 800-meter run and mile run at the NCAA Indoor National Track and Field Championships.

The reigning Iowa Conference MVP finished second in the second heat of the 800-meter run in a time of 2:15.18.  Her time was the seventh fastest of the two qualifying heats.

In the mile run, Schnell finished fourth in the second heat in a time of 5:01.82.  It was the ninth fastest time of the Championship. 

The finals for both events are scheduled for Saturday.  Schnell will run in the mile at 1 p.m. and again in the 800-meter finals at 2:35 p.m.
