SAINT PETER, Minn. - Gustavus Adolphus, ranked 18th in the country, jumped out to a 2-1 lead on Coe and defeated the Kohawks 7-2 in matchup of regionally ranked teams. The Golden Gusties are fourth in the region, while Coe is seventh.

At number one doubles, Noah Sprinkel (Minneapolis, Minn./South) and Riley Galbraith (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy), ranked 25th in the country, defeated Mya Smith-Dennis and Motasem Al-Houni 9-8. Smith-Dennis and Al-Houni were ranked 17th in the nation. Coe suffered a loss at both two and three doubles by identical 8-5 scores.

Coe's only other victory came at number one singles, as Sprinkel defeated Smith-Dennis 7-6, 6-4. Sprinkel was ranked 21st in the country, while Smith-Dennis was ranked 23rd.

The loss dropped Coe to 15-4 on the year, while the Golden Gusties improved to 15-3. The Kohawks return to action on March 28, as they host Wheaton at 4 p.m. at the Clark Racquet Center.
