CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Noah Sprinkel (Minneapolis, Minn./South) was named the Iowa Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this year. It was the fifth time in nine weeks a Kohawk has earned the honor.
Sprinkel, a junior, picked up a pair of victories in Coe's 7-2 loss to 18th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus. He defeated 23rd-ranked Mya Smith-Dennis, 7-6, 6-4 at number one singles and teamed with Riley Galbraith (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) for a 9-8 win over the 17th-ranked tandem of Smith-Dennis and Motasem Al-Houni at number doubles.
With the wins last weekend, Sprinkel is now 17-2 in singles play and 16-4 in doubles with Galbraith.
The Kohawks return to action on Friday, as they host Wheaton at the Clark Racquet Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
