CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Wartburg went on a 22-6 run midway through the second half and held on for a 66-62 win over the Kohawks Saturday at Eby Fieldhouse.

The Kohawks scored 13 of the game's first 15 points in the first 4:48, but it wasn't enough as the Kohawks dropped their third IIAC game of the season, while the Knights improved to 4-0 in the conference.

The Kohawks were closing the first half on a 6-0 run when Samantha Harrington hit a near half court shot for the Knights at the buzzer, cutting the Kohawk lead to six at the break. With 14:06 to play, Harrington hit a 3-point basket that sparked a 22-6 run. Katie Zittergruen scored 10 points during the run, as Harrington closed it with a 3-point basket as well.

Coe used an 8-3 run in the last 2:42 to cut the lead to two-points, but a pair of free throws by Abbey Hempen increased the lead to four, giving the Knights the win.

As a team, the Knights made more free throws than the Kohawks attempted, as they connected on 25-of-32 attempts, while the Kohawks were 11-of-16 from the charity stripe. Three-point shooting also played a part in the game, as Wartburg shot 71 percent from downtown, while the Kohawks could hit just 18 percent from behind the arc.

Sophomore Brittany Norris (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) led the Kohawks with 16 points, four blocked shots and eight rebounds. Senior Calie Sobaski (Iowa City, Iowa/City) added 15 points off the bench. Freshman Kelsey Jipp (Bettendorf, Iowa/Pleasant Valley) added eight points.

Sophomore Kaitlin Breitbach (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Washington) had five assists and a game-high five steals. Sophomore Kayla Lincoln (Maynard, Iowa/West Central) added seven rebounds and three blocked shots, while sophomore Sarah Anciaux (Iowa City, Iowa/City) had a game-high seven assists.

The Kohawks (7-6, 1-3 IIAC) return to action on Wednesday as they host 11th-ranked Simpson (13-1, 5-0 IIAC). Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Eby Fieldhouse.
