CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team wasn't able to capture its third-straight automatic bid to the NCAA Championships Saturday as it fell 5-2 to Luther in the finals of the Iowa Conference Automatic Qualifier Tournament.The Kohawks opened the day with a convincing 5-0 win over Cornell in the semifinals.  Senior Molly Fiala (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) earned a 6-0, 6-0 win over Caryl Abeyta to kick things off for Coe at number one singles.  Junior Andrea Schupbach (Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus) was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Kirsten Lasley at number two singles, while sophomore Katy Delagardelle (Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus) was a 6-3, 6-1 winner over Kendall Bielinski at number three singles.

Junior Megan Fiala (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) was a 6-3, 6-1 winner over Amanda Johnson at number four singles, while sophomore Natalie Bordignon (Robins, Iowa/Xavier) won by default at number six singles.

Molly Fiala teamed with Schupbach for an 8-2 win at number one doubles to start the match with Luther.  The Norse took number two and three doubles for a 2-1 lead going into singles play.  The Kohawks were only able to get one more victory before the Norse had secured five on the day as Molly Fiala won 6-1, 6-1 over Kelsie Allen at number one singles.
