PELLA, Iowa - The Coe College men's track and field team turned in seven top five finishes Friday at the Central Open.  Five individuals were in the top five, along with two relay teams.Senior Kyle Brockmeyer (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) ran a 22.67 in the 200-meter dash for a fifth place finish.  Brockmeyer improved his finish in the 110-meter hurdles, as he placed second in 15.60.

Sophomore Kyle Heineman (Readlyn, Iowa/Wapsie Valley) was second in the 1,500-meter run in 4:02.88.  He fell just :00.05 behind Teddy Clark of Central.  In the 400-meter hurdles, senior Vance Rudolph (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) was second in 55.63.  Sophomore Andrew Meyer was fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 42.27 meters.

Coe's 4x100-meter relay team was fifth in 44.11, while the 4x400-meter relay team was third in 3:32.49.

The Kohawks will return to action next weekend at the Iowa Conference Championships, hosted by Central College.
