CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Senior Ryan Wood (Janesville, Wis./Parker) recorded his first goal of the season, putting the Kohawks up 1-0 in the 66th minute of Wednesday's game against Dubuque. Coe held the Spartans scoreless the remaining 24 minutes for its second-straight Iowa Conference win of the year.

Freshman Nathan Kurtz (St. Louis, Mo./Crossroads College Prep) had the assist on the play.

The Kohawk defense allowed just one shot on goal by the Spartans, as sophomore Brett Cooper (Mt. Vernon, Iowa/Mt. Vernon) picked up his seventh win in the net.

The Kohawks return to action on Saturday, as they travel to Wartburg in Iowa Conference play. The men's match is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Waverly.
