Wisconsin-Whitewater tallied its first hit in the third inning and followed it up with back-to-back doubles in the fourth inning to plate the only run of the game.
The Kohawks had their best chance to score in the fifth inning. Williams reached base for the second time in the game with a lead-off single. With sophomore

Mackenzie Lang (Urbandale, Iowa/Johnston) reached on a fielders choice as Burress was thrown out.
Lang moved to second as junior
Erica Smothers (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) reached on an error by the pitcher on a sacrifice bunt. Smothers and Lang both moved into scoring position on a wild pitch, but back-to-back strikeouts for Coe ended the inning. No one reached base for Coe in the final two innings.
With their first loss in the tournament, the Kohawks will face the loser of Friday's Alma-Concorda (Wis.) game at noon on Sunday. The loser of that game will be eliminated, while the winner advances to Sunday's final round.
