MARIETTA, Ohio - Sophomore Sarah Anciaux (Iowa City, Iowa/City) and freshman Keelie Finnel (Francis Creek, Wis./Mishicot) represented the Kohawks on day two of the NCAA Championships.  Anciaux threw the discus, while Finnel ran in the 400-meter run.
Anciaux was in the second flight of the discus throw, which proved to be the top flight of the competition.  Anciaux's throw of 134' 0" was the ninth best of the flight, but was the 11th best of the 20 competitors overall.  The sophomore missed the finals by just over two feet.

In the 400-meter run, Finnel finished second in her heat with a time of 56.93, falling just 00.28 behind Liz Kooistra of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.  Finnel's time was the 11th best of the 18 total competitors.  The winner of each heat, along with the next five fastest times, advanced to Saturday's finals.

Sophomore Ashley Schnell (Lincoln, Neb./North Star) will wrap things up for the Kohawks at the NCAA Championships on Saturday.  The multi-sport star will run in the finals of the 1,500-meter run at 1:30 p.m. and the finals of the 5,000-meter run at 3:20 p.m.
