MARIETTA, Ohio - Sophomore Ashley Schnell (Lincoln, Neb./North Star) finished third in the 1,500-meter run Saturday at the NCAA Championships.  With her finish, Schnell is the first women's outdoor track All-American for the Kohawks since 2005.After finishing second in her heat on Thursday, in a time of 4:33.23, Schnell bounced back Saturday to break her own school record from earlier this year.  Her time of 4:28.59 in the national finals beat her previous best by over three seconds.

Schnell was the lone Kohawk to participate in two events, as she also qualified in the 5,000-meter run.  During the 5,000, Schnell withdrew due to injury.
