MONMOUTH, Ill - The Kohawks earned goals by Joe Frerichs (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) and Nathan Kurtz (St. Louis, Mo./Crosscroads College Prep) in the final 18 minutes of Sunday's match with Monmouth to seal a 3-0 win over the Fighting Scots.
Coe was given a goal in the 24th minute, as Monmouth kicked it in their own goal.
Tom Wakeland (Bettendorf, Iowa/Bettendorf) earned the assist on the goal by Kurtz in the 78th minute. Coe finished the game with 12 shots, while Monmouth recorded 11.
The Kohawks will return to action on Saturday as they travel to Iowa Wesleyan. The match will start at 3 p.m.
