The Storm added a goal shortly before the intermission, but Coe held on for a 2-1 lead at the break. Neither team could put the ball in the net in the second half, as the two keepers combined for four saves in the second period. Neither keeper recorded a save in the first frame. Sophomore Brett Cooper (Mt. Vernon, Iowa/Mt. Vernon) had all three saves for the Kohawks.

Coe will open the home portion of the Iowa Conference schedule on Wednesday. The Kohawks will host Dubuque at 4 p.m. at Clark Field.
