CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Freshman Reid Galbraith (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) tallied two second period goals, but it wasn't enough for the Kohawks as they fell 4-2 to Ashford in the season opener.The Kohawks were held to just one shot in the first period and five in the second, while the Saints totaled 15 for the game.  Sophomore Grady Brown (Madison, Wis./Memorial) earned two saves, while giving up four goals.

Galbraith connected on both of his shots on goal, the only two of the game for Coe.  Ashford took the early lead on a goal by Vedran Ilic in the 14th minute, while Galbraith tied it in the 51st minute.  Less than four minutes later the Saints took the lead for good on Soroush Kalhor's second goal of the season.

The Kohawks return to action Sunday as they travel to Knox.  The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
