FOREST CITY, Iowa - Freshman David Schmitz (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) scored the first three goals of his college career today against Waldorf. Schmitz tallied three goals in the first 22 minutes to give the Kohawks a 3-0 lead over the Warriors.

Coe never looked back, as they opened a 4-0 lead before the Warriors could strike in the 56th minute.

Vance Rudolph (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) and Dan Luce (Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus) scored in the last 10 minutes to extend Coe's lead. Joe Frerichs (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) scored Coe's fourth goal of the game. each recorded three saves apiece in the net.

Freshman Grady Brown (Madison, Wis./Madison Memorial) and sophomore Brett Cooper (Mt. Vernon, Iowa/Mt. Vernon) each recorded three saves apiece in the net.

The Kohawks return to action on Thursday, as they host Faith Baptist in their home opener. The match will start at 5 p.m.
