Chris Bruns (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) found Montag for his first goal of the season, giving the Kohawks a 2-0 lead at the break.
The Kohawks started the second period with a goal by
Shu Dohi, as senior
Matt Caldwell (Hiawatha, Iowa/Kennedy) found him open for the goal, putting the Kohawks up 3-0.
A goal by Eureka cut it to 3-1 at 52:20, but the Kohawks added another goal by Schmitz 73:19 to seal the win. Freshman
Josh Kleinmeyer (Iowa City, Iowa/City) assisted on Schmitz last goal.
Sophomore
Grady Brown (Madison, Wis./Memorial) tallied six saves in the net for the Kohawks.
Coe will return to action on Sunday, as they host Nebraska Wesleyan at 3 p.m. Sunday at Clark Field.
