CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Cornell in its home opener.  The Kohawks dropped to 1-1 in Iowa Conference play with the loss.Sophomore Molly Steffens (Peosta, Iowa/Western Dubuque) led the Kohawks with seven kills.  Freshman Kelsey Heins (Postville, Iowa/Postville) added five kills, while sophomore Kaitlin McClimon (Dewitt, Iowa/Central) added four.

Freshman Emily Ryan (Mt. Vernon, Iowa/Mt. Vernon) had a team-high 16 assists, while Steffens and freshman Brittany Schickel (Nevada, Iowa/Nevada) had nine and eight digs respectively.

The Kohawks return to action Friday when they travel to the Beloit Tournament.
