GRINNELL, Iowa - The Coe women's tennis team earned its third shutout of the season Saturday in a 9-0 win over Grinnell.  The Kohawks improved to 6-0 on the year with the win over the Pioneers.Junior Hannah Jensen (Iowa City, Iowa/West) was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Toby Cain at number one singles, while teaming with senior Megan Fiala (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) for an 8-4 win over Catherine Fitch and Elizabeth Montgomery at number three doubles.

Senior Andrea Schupbach (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Columbus) earned a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jill Akiyama at number two singles.  She also teamed with her sister, Michelle Schupbach (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Columbus) for an 8-4 win at number one doubles over Cain and Tatyana Sukharnikova.  Michelle Schupbach shut out Kelsey Picken 6-0, 6-0 at number four singles.

Senior Hillary Allen (Ft. Collins, Colo./Ft. Collins) was a 6-2, 6-2 winner over Sukharnikova at number three singles.  She also teamed with Katy Delagardelle (Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus) for an 8-4 win over Akiyama and Picken.  Delagardelle was also a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Elizabeth Spears at number five singles.  Sara Ohlman (Washington, Ill./Washington) earned a 6-4, 6-1 win at number six singles.

The Kohawks return to action on Sunday morning as they face Carthage at 10 a.m. at the Clark Racquet Center.
