CONWAY, Ark. - Tom Wakeland (Bettendorf, Iowa/Bettendorf) and Jacob Johnson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Washington) each scored their first two goals of the season Sunday in Coe's 4-3 win over Hendrix.Hendrix struck first, as Dylan Reed scored his first goal of the season off a corner kick at 22:50 to take a 1-0 lead over the Kohawks.  Just over 11 minutes later, Wakeland hit his first goal on a header at 33:16 to tie the game.  Matt Caldwell (Hiawatha, Iowa/Kennedy) assisted on the goal.  Under four minutes later, Wakeland tallied his second goal, this one coming off the rebound from five-yards away.

With the Kohawks holding onto a 2-1 lead into the second half, Hendrix evened things up with a goal from Ian Evans off the rebound on a free kick.  Johnson didn't waste anytime giving the Kohawks the lead back, as he scored at 56:57 on a header from a corner kick.  He also scored the Kohawks final goal at 82:57 on a free kick inside the box.  Freshman Reid Galbraith (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) assisted on both of Johnson's goals.

Hendrix scored one last time, as Kent Coombs hit his second goal of the season at 87:05, but it wasn't enough to take the victory from the Kohawks.

Sophomore Grady Brown (Madison, Wis./Memorial) earned the win in the net, recording eight saves.

Coe returns to action on Wednesday as they travel to Mt. Mercy for a 5 p.m. match.
