DECORAH, Iowa - With weather forecasted to move in on Saturday morning, a round and a half of golf was played Friday at the Iowa Conference Championships.
Hunter Livermore (Atkins, Iowa/Benton Community) leads the way for the Kohawks after three rounds, as he is tied for 15th with a 234 after shooting a 79 on Friday. Livermore is just two strokes out of 10th place. The top 10 finishers earn All-Iowa Conference honors. Jason Gingrich (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) shot the low round of the day for the Kohawks, as he fired a 78. Gingrich is in 28th with a 244 over the three rounds.
Wade Hill (Monroe, Iowa/Prairie City-Monroe), Anthony Worden (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) and Seth Inman (Vinton, Iowa/Vinton-Shellsburg) are all within four strokes of each other heading into the final round. Hill is in 35th with a 252 after shooting an 81 on Friday. Worden sits two strokes back with a 254 after he shot an 82 on Friday. Inman shot an 81 on Friday, as he is in 37th with a 256. It was a tournament low for all three.
Coe is seventh with a 980 over the three rounds after shooting a 319 on Friday. It was the lowest score of the three rounds for the Kohawks. Luther holds the team race lead with a 903 after shooting a 301 on Friday. Simpson's Trent Lindenman shot a 73, as he holds the lead with a 219 after three rounds.
Nine holes of the final 18 holes were played Friday afternoon, with the final nine holes scheduled to be finished on Saturday morning. The first tee time is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Oneota Golf and Country Club.
