Jacob Johnson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Washington) needed just under 17 minutes to score the lone goal of the game, as he hit one in at 16:28. It was the fourth goal of the season for Johnson, whom is tied for the team lead with four goals.
The Vikings tried to tie the match with 1:19 to play, but sophomore
Grady Brown (Madison, Wis./Memorial) recorded his third save of the match on a penalty kick to seal the Kohawks win, bringing them to 5-5-1 on the season.
The Kohawks will take the week off before returning to Iowa Conference play for the remainder of the season. Coe is set to travel to Dubuque Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. for a match against the Spartans.
