FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Coe College women's golf team cut 11 strokes off its first round score on Sunday, as the Kohawks finished third at the Marian Invite.
Erin Lang (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) fired a 92 for the second-straight day, as she finished fifth with a 184. Chloe Crain (Indianola, Iowa/Indianola) joined Lang in the top 10, as she shot a 97 on Sunday to finish seventh with a 188.
Bethany Lehman (Plainfield, Iowa/Nashua Plainfield) shot a season-low on Sunday, as her 92 put her in a tie for 11th with a 193 for the weekend. Colleen Zuk (Kansas City, Mo./Bishop Miege) shot a 95 on Sunday, as she finished 14th with a 198. Jade Hess (Fonda, Iowa/Newell-Fonda) shot a 98 on Sunday, finishing 19th with a 203 for the weekend. Madison Ries (Robins, Iowa/Xavier) cut eight strokes off her first round score, as her 120 on Sunday gave her a 248 for the weekend and a 33rd place finish.
The Kohawks shot a 376 on Sunday, as they finished third with a 763 overall. Coe was 10 strokes behind Wisconsin-Stevens Point for second, while holding a 31 stroke lead over Marian for fourth. Lake Forest won with a 733, while Wisconsin-Steven Point's Tiffany Boak won with a 173. Coe returns to action on Wednesday, as they travel to Indianola for the Simpson Invite.
