MARION, Iowa - The Coe College men's golf team cut six strokes off its first round score on Sunday, as the Kohawks finished 16th at the Mount Mercy Fall Classic.
Hunter Livermore (Atkins, Iowa/Benton Community) led the Kohawks at the classic, as he shot a 78 on Sunday to finish 84th with a 166. Jason Gingrich (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) shot an 89 on Sunday, as he tied for 85th with a 167 over the two days. Yudai Hirano (Japan) also tied for 85th, as he shot an 84 on Sunday to give him 167 for the weekend.
Cyril Spicer (Durango, Colo./Durango) cut a stroke off his first round score, as his 84 on Sunday gave him a 169 for the weekend. Spicer tied for 91st. Wade Hill (Monroe, Iowa/Prairie City-Monroe) cut seven strokes off his first round score, as he finished 94th on the weekend with a 171.
As a team, the Kohawks shot a 328 on Sunday. Coe finished 16th with a 662 over the weekend. Coe returns to action on Saturday, as they travel to Galena, Ill. for the Midwest Classic.
