DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe College men's golf team finished eighth in the 15 team field Monday at the Clarke Invite.
For the second-straight round, Cyril Spicer (Durango, Colo./Durango) shot a 79. Spicer totaled a 158 for the tournament, as he tied for 24th. Jason Gingrich (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) shot an 82 on Monday, as he tied for 27th with a 160. Hunter Livermore (Atkins, Iowa/Benton Community) also tied for 27th with a 160 after he shot an 80 on Monday.
Yudai Hirano (Japan) tied for 49th with a 168 for the tournament after shooting an 86 on Monday. Jake Van Oort (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) cut a stroke off his first round score, as he shot an 85 on Monday to finish in a tie for 52nd with a 171. Wade Hill (Monroe, Iowa/Prairie City-Monroe) rounded out the lineup for the Kohawks, as he shot an 87 on Monday, finishing tied for 65th with a 176.
William Penn won the team title with a 618, edging Loras by a stroke. Wartburg's Tanner Randall won top individual honors with a 149. Coe was eighth with a 645.
The Kohawks finish the fall portion of the season on Oct. 5 at the Simpson Invite.
