INDIANOLA, Iowa - Hunter Livermore (Atkins, Iowa/Benton Community) shot a season-low 74 Wednesday at the Simpson Invitational, as the Coe College men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule.
Livermore finished tied for fourth with his 74, five strokes off the lead of 69 by Central's Kacie Broeg. Livermore recorded birdies on holes two, three and 15. It was the first top-five finish of the year for Livermore.
Cyril Spicer (Durango, Colo./Durango) finished in 28th with an 84. Yudai Hirano (Japan) tied for 29th with an 88, recording a birdie on the third hole. Jason Gingrich (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) was a stroke behind Hirano, finishing 31st with an 89. Gingrich notched birdies on the third and 15th holes. Wade Hill (Monroe, Iowa/Prairie City-Monroe) tied for 32nd with a 94.
Coe was sixth with a 335. Central won the meet with a 297. The Simpson Invite concludes the fall season for the Kohawks.
