CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A perfect performance from the Central women's cross country team left the Kohawks in second place at Saturday's Lamb-Kohawk Invitational. The Dutch earned the meet's top five positions, while the Kohawks placed three in the top 10 to earn second.Senior
Jessica Robison (Iowa City, Iowa/City) led the Kohawks in a time of 25:59.43, placing her eighth. Senior
Heather White (Dysart, Iowa/Union) and freshman
Sara Heizer (Milliken, Colo./Roosevelt) joined Robison in the top 10 with their ninth and 10th place finishes. White finished in 26:12.77, while Heizer ran in 26:48.43.
Rounding out the scoring for the Kohawks, seniors
Stacy Voccia (Glenn Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) and
Kimberly Kuda (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) placed 11th and 12th. Voccia ran in 26:50.01, while Kuda finished in 27:07.72.
Coe held a 35-point advantage over Marshalltown Community College in the team race.
The Kohawks return to action next Saturday when they travel to the Brooks Invite, hosted by Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
