CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Two Coe College volleyball players were named to the All-Iowa Conference team, while two more players were selected as honorable mention.
Senior Olivia Leisinger (Council Bluffs, Iowa/Lincoln) and sophomore Lindsey Koch (Hudson, Iowa/Hudson) were named to the All-Iowa Conference team. Leisinger was an honorable mention selection last season, while Koch is being honored for the first time. Senior Hanna Reese (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Washington) and sophomore Madi Miller (Coralville, Iowa/West) were honorable mention selections. It was the first time being honored by the league for Reese and Miller.
Leisinger led the Kohawks in league play with a .274 attack percentage. She tallied 85 kills and averaged 2.66 per set. Leisinger also had 13 service aces and 22 total blocks. Leisinger ranked sixth in the Iowa Conference in hitting percentage, while also ranking ninth in blocks per set at .69. Leisinger ranked seventh in league play with .41 service aces per set.
Koch's 99 kills in Iowa Conference play were the most on the team. Koch hit .209 in league play, while averaging 3.09 kills per set. Koch also averaged 2.62 digs per set, finishing conference play with 84 digs. Koch ranked seventh in the league with 3.09 kills per set.
In Iowa Conference play, Reese averaged 9.00 assists per set, finishing with 288 in eight league matches. Reese also tied for the team lead with 13 service aces. Reese tallied 99 digs and had seven total blocks. Reese was fourth in the Iowa Conference with 9.00 assists per set, while ranking eighth in the league with .41 service aces per set.
Miller led the Kohawks with 134 digs in Iowa Conference play, averaging 4.19 per set. Miller also tallied 20 assists and seven service aces. Miller ranked seventh in the league with 4.19 digs per set.
The Kohawks finished the season with a 5-3 record in Iowa Conference play, as Coe finished third in the standings. In the Iowa Conference Tournament, Coe beat Buena Vista in the quarterfinals before knocking off second-seeded Luther in the semifinals. Top-seeded Wartburg beat Coe 3-1 in the championship match.
