PELLA, Iowa - The Coe women's soccer team clinched its first Iowa Conference Tournament berth since 2003 Saturday with a 1-0 double overtime win over Central. The win finalized the six-team tournament, while the seeds won't be determined for another week.
Freshman
Lisa Frank (Racine, Wis./Prairie) scored her fifth goal of the season in the 104th minute to give the Kohawks their sixth win of the year, while improving to 4-3 in the Iowa Conference. Freshman
Jenny Snook (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) had her team leading fifth assist on the play.
After a quiet first half, Coe had 14 shots in the second half and first overtime combined. Central had 12 shots for the game, with senior keeper
Erin Ridley (St. Paul, Minn./Convant of the Visitation) having four saves for the Kohawks.
Coe will return to action next Saturday as they close out the regular season with a 5 p.m. match at Luther.
