CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Junior Jenna Lehman (Iowa City, Iowa/Regina) has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team.
Lehman was one of three Iowa Conference players selected to the six-player team, joining Loras' Lori Obendorf and Wartburg's Morgan Neuendorf. Lehman is majoring in Accounting and Business Administration.
Enjoying a breakout season, Lehman currently has 400 points on the season, as she became the fourth player to hit the milestone on Wednesday night. Her 18.2 points per game is the most in school history, while ranking second with 158 field goals on the season. She scored a career-high 31 points earlier this year against Augustana, while also pulling down a career-high 12 rebounds in the game against the Vikings. Lehman has hit over 40 3-pointers for the second-straight season.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must have a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have the proper athletic accomplishments to be placed on the ballot. The 2016-17 CoSIDA Academic All-District® Basketball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Lehman is now eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-American team, which will be released on Feb. 28.
