TEMPE, Ariz. - For the 17th-straight week, the Coe College men's tennis team is ranked in the Oracle/ITA Division III Rankings. The Kohawks are ranked 37th this week.
The Kohawks have been ranked in every poll since the final poll of the 2014 season. At 5-3 this season, all three of Coe's losses are to teams currently ranked in the top 20 in the nation. Chicago beat Coe in a pair of matches on Jan. 28, while Kalamazoo beat Coe 5-4 on Feb. 18. The Maroons moved from fifth to fourth in this week's poll, while the Hornets moved from 36th up to 19th.
A pair of Kohawks were ranked in the individual rankings from Nov. 1, as Brady Anderson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) is ranked 32nd and Alex Bernt (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Columbus) is ranked 48th. In the Nov. 1 regional rankings, Coe is ranked ninth as a team. Anderson is eighth in the regional rankings, while Bernt is 13th and James McManus (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls) is 16th. The next set of team national rankings comes out March 16, while the next singles and doubles national rankings comes out June 1. The next set of regional team, singles and doubles rankings comes out March 30.
The Kohawks (5-3, 2-0 IIAC) return to action March 5 in Orlando, Fla. for a pair of matches. Coe will play seven matches in the Orlando area over spring break.
