LOUISVILLE, Ky. - For the third-straight week, the Coe College softball team is ranked. This week, the Kohawks moved up to 12th in the NFCA Top 25 Poll.
Sitting at 13-1 on the year, the Kohawks are one of three Iowa Conference teams are ranked in the poll. Luther moved up a spot to fourth, while Central moved up two spots to 22nd. Coe has wins over 15th-ranked St. Catherine, eighth-ranked St. John Fisher and 21st-ranked WPI. Kean, the only team to beat Coe this year, is ranked 20th for the first time this year.
Coe's 11-game winning streak is the fourth-longest streak in the country. The Kohawks rank 15th in the nation with a .88 ERA, while ranking ninth in the nation with 3.36 stolen bases per game. Alyssa Olson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) ranks 10th in the nation in saves and 23rd in the nation in strikeouts. Maliah Fligg (Tiffin, Iowa/Clear Creek-Amana) ranks 19th in the nation in shutouts. Both Fligg and Olson rank 29th in the country in victories. Paige Wieland (Riverside, Iowa/Highland) ranks 25th in the country in triples.
