CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Sophomore Nolan Arp (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Xavier) has been named the Iowa Conference Baseball Position Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
Arp led the Kohawks with a .556 batting average last week, while he had a .609 on-base percentage and 1.111 slugging percentage over six games. Arp had multiple hits in four of the six games in the week, including three in games against Saint Vincent and McDaniel. His first five hits of the season went for extra bases with three doubles and two home runs. He had a career-high five RBI against Saint Vincent. He scored seven runs with 10 hits and eight RBI on the week.
The Kohawks (6-2) return to action on Sunday, as they host Bethany Lutheran (2-7) in a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Bill Quinby Field at Daniels Park. A link for live stats for both games is available at CoeAthletics.com.
