MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - The softball game scheduled for Wednesday between Coe College and Cornell College has been postponed to next week in Mount Vernon.
The two teams were scheduled to play a single game on Wednesday, but the forecast is pushing that game to next week. The 12th-ranked Kohawks (13-1) and Rams (8-2) will now play at 4 p.m. Monday, March 27 in Mount Vernon. A link to live video and stats is available at CoeAthletics.com.
The game is one of five remaining events in the Bremner Cup All-Sports standings between the two longtime rivals. Cornell currently leads 6-4, with the men's tennis teams facing off on Saturday before the softball game. The schools will compete in track and field on April 8, followed by baseball on April 27 in the final event of the year.
Coe returns to action on Friday, as they face Webster and Washington University in St. Louis at the Mizuno Tournament. A link to live stats for both games is available at CoeAthletics.com, while a link for video for the game with the Bears is also available.
