LOUISVILLE, Ky. - For the fifth-straight week, the Coe College softball team is ranked in the NFCA Top 25. The Kohawks dropped to 12th this week.
Sitting at 15-2 on the year, the Kohawks are one of three Iowa Conference teams that are ranked in the poll. Luther moved up a spot to eighth, while Central moved up five spots to 17th. The 12th-ranked Kohawks have wins over fifth-ranked St. John Fisher and 25th-ranked St. Thomas. The Kohawks also beat St. Catherine and WPI, who both dropped out of the rankings this week. Kean, ranked 13th in the poll, and Washington University, who received votes this week, are the only teams to beat the Kohawks this year. Berry earned all eight first place votes.
The Kohawks rank sixth in the nation with a .97 ERA, while ranking eighth in the nation with 3.31 stolen bases per game. Coe is 13th in the nation with a .875 winning percentage. Maliah Fligg (Tiffin, Iowa/Clear Creek-Amana) ranks 22nd in the nation with 4.12 hits allowed per seven innings, while also ranking 43rd in the nation in shutouts. Mallory McArtor (Riverside, Iowa/Mid-Prairie) ranks 30th in the country with .94 stolen bases per game.
