CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to NCAA Division II Quincy on Thursday at the Clark Racquet Center.
The Kohawks picked up a win in singles and doubles. The doubles win came at number one, as Lauren French (Raleigh, N.C./North Raleigh Christian) and Haley Resnick (Bettendorf, Iowa/Assumption) beat Amy Kuhle and Sydney Lynch 8-5. The win improved the pair to 18-5 in doubles together, while Resnick moved to 26-5 in doubles and French improved to 23-7 in doubles play. The victory was the 47th of the season for French, the ninth most in school history. Resnick moved into eighth in school history with her 124th career win.
In singles play, Sarah Lasecki (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) beat Lynch 4-6, 7-5, 10-8 at number three singles. The win was the 120th of Lasecki's career, as she moved into 10th in school history in total wins.
The Kohawks (14-9) return to action on Saturday, as they host Wisconsin-Oshkosh (8-9). The match is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Clark Racquet Center.
