CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - For the third time this season, and 12th time in his career, junior Brady Anderson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) has been named the Iowa Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Anderson went 3-0 at number one singles and 3-0 at number two doubles with Nate Greiner (Polk City, Iowa/North Polk) last weekend, as the Kohawks were undefeated with wins over Wabash, Rose-Hulman and DePauw. All three singles wins were against opponents ranked in the top 20 in the ITA Central Region Singles rankings. In his final singles match of the weekend, Anderson beat DePauw's Dan Rodefeld 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. Rodefeld was ranked fourth in the region.
With the six victories, Anderson improved to 22-4 in singles and 19-6 in doubles on the year. He also tallied his 75th career victory and his 140th total career win.
The 36th-ranked (20-4, 5-0 IIAC) return to action on Thursday with a pair of matches on the road. Coe will split the squad for matches at Dubuque (6-5, 1-1 IIAC) and Simpson (5-10, 0-4 IIAC).
