TEMPE, Ariz. - The Coe College men's tennis team moved up three spots in the latest Oracle/ITA rankings. This is the 21st-straight poll Coe has been ranked in.
The 35th-ranked Kohawks have been ranked in every poll since the final poll of the 2014 season. At 23-4 overall and 8-0 in the IIAC this season, all four of Coe's losses are to teams currently ranked in the top 26 in the nation.
A pair of Kohawks were ranked in the individual national rankings from Nov. 1, as Brady Anderson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) is ranked 32nd and Alex Bernt (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Columbus) is ranked 48th. In the latest regional rankings, Coe remained seventh as a team. Anderson moved up three spots in the individual regional rankings to third. Luke Ford (Otsego, Mich./Otsego) and Josh Pudlo (Lakewood, Ill./Crystal Lake Central) remained 11th in the region in doubles. The final set of national and regional rankings comes out June 1.
Winners of 11-straight matches, and 36-straight Iowa Conference regular season matches, the Kohawks (23-4, 8-0 IIAC) won their sixth-straight Iowa Conference Championship last weekend. The Kohawks wrap up the regular season on Sunday, as they travel to Wisconsin-Whitewater (13-11). The match is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in Whitewater, Wis.
