CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - For the fourth-straight week, junior Brady Anderson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) has been named the Iowa Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Of the 14 Iowa Conference Men's Tennis Players of the Week, a Kohawk has earned the honor 11 times this season. This is the sixth time this season Anderson has been selected and 15th time in his career. Anderson went 1-1 on the week, as the 35th-ranked Kohawks dropped a 6-3 decision to Wisconsin-Whitewater. In singles play, Anderson beat Grant Thompson 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) at number one singles. Anderson is now 7-3 against regionally ranked opponents in singles this season. With his ninth-straight singles win, Anderson is now 25-4 on the year and tied for 10th in school history in single-season singles wins.
The 35th-ranked Kohawks (23-5, 8-0 IIAC) return to action on Saturday, as they host the Iowa Conference Automatic Qualifier at the Clark Racquet Center. As the top seed, Coe will have a bye into the semifinals. The Kohawks will face the winner of Friday's match between Wartburg and Nebraska Wesleyan. The match will begin at 9 a.m.
