INDIANOLA, Iowa - Hunter Livermore (Atkins, Iowa/Benton Community) finished seventh at the Iowa Conference Championships, as he earned All-Iowa Conference honors for the first time.
Livermore becomes the sixth player in the last six years to earn All-Iowa Conference honors for the Kohawks. Livermore shot a 74 on Saturday, his lowest round of the tournament, to finish in a tie for sixth. Livermore lost the playoff hole and finished seventh with a 233 over the three rounds. Anthony Worden (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) shot a 78 for the second-straight day, as he finished tied for 14th with a 240 for the event. Worden was three strokes away from earning all-conference honors with a top-10 finish.
Jason Gingrich (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) shot an 80 on Saturday, his lowest round of the tournament, to finish in a tie for 27th with a 251. Yudai Hirano (Japan) shot an 88 on Saturday, as he finished 30th with a 253 for the three rounds. Jake Van Oort (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) had his lowest round of the invitational on Saturday, as his 84 gave him a 268 for the three rounds and a 39th place finish to round out the Kohawk scoring.
Coe finished sixth as a team with a 973 over the three rounds. The Kohawks shot a 316 on Saturday, their third lowest round of the season. Luther won the team title with a 929, beating Simpson by nine strokes. Coe was 12 strokes behind Loras for fifth, while holding a 23-stroke lead over Wartburg for sixth. Nebraska Wesleyan's Matt Unruh took top individual honors with a 223. The tournament was just 54 holes this year after the second round was canceled due to rain last weekend.
