Jones was selected at second base, while Fligg was an at-large selection. This is the first time that Jones has earned the honor, while Fligg was a third team selection in 2015. Earlier this year, Jones was an All-Iowa Conference First Team pick, while Fligg was named to the second team.
Starting all 42 games for the Kohawks, Jones hit a career-high 10 home runs and drove in 40 runs, leading the team in both categories. She hit .341 on the year with 30 runs scored and 42 hits. Half of her hits went for extra bases, as she tallied 10 doubles and a triple as well. Jones ranked 26th in the nation in both home runs and sacrifice flies. She ranked 34th with .24 home runs per game, while ranking 79th in RBI. Jones ranked fourth in the region in home runs.
Fligg got it done at the plate and in the circle for the Kohawks. She hit .330 on the year with three home runs and four doubles, while also driving in 22 runs with a .450 slugging percentage. In the circle, she went 15-4 with a 2.05 ERA. She struck out 73, while walking 37 and allowing 119 hits in 133 innings pitched. She tossed 16 complete games with four shutouts in 24 appearances. Fligg ranked 88th in the nation in shutouts and 65th in victories. She ranked ninth in the region in victories.
The Kohawks finished the year 31-11 and advanced to the NCAA Regional Final. Coe returns seven starters to next year's squad.
