CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Ciara Kissane has resigned as the men's and women's cross country head coach at Coe College.
Kissane has accepted a job as an athletic department assistant at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Ill. She has also been named an assistant coach for track and cross country at Lake Forest College. In Kissane's lone season as head coach at Coe, the Kohawk cross country teams had top 35 times in school history for both the men and women.
"I'd like to thank Coach Kissane for her contributions and leadership over the past cross country and track season," said Coe College Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Aaron Carley. "Without question she has given a complete and sincere effort to implementing the core philosophies we feel our student-athletes need to lead to their success in the classroom and running careers. Certainly, she will find success in her journey as an administrator and coach."
A national search for a new head coach is underway.
