GREENVILLE, Ill. - The Greenville Panthers were able to score in each period, sending the Coe College Kohawks to Cedar Rapids with a loss.
Coe had a total of six shots, all falling on goal, giving the Kohawks a team shooting percentage of .100. Saleem Handal (Chattanooga, Tenn./Ooltewah) and Luis Gonzalez (Chicago, Ill./Lincoln Park) were the first to put shots up against Greenville's keeper in the first 25 minutes of the match.
Greenville's first half goal came in the 24th minute, unassisted. Martin Lacher (Germany) got the last shot of the first period as Coe headed into the half down 1-0.
In the second half, it was Handal and Gonzalez again with shots on goal, as well as Blake Bailey (Kearney, Mo./Kearney Senior). The Panther's second half goal came late in the 86th minute, also unassisted. Greenville led Coe in total shots 10-6, but each team recorded the same amount of shots on goal.
