COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Coe Volleyball team travels back to Cedar Rapids with two more wins after going 2-1 in the ACM Tournament hosted by Colorado College.
After shutting out Carleton on the first day of the ACM Tournament, the Kohawks split on day two defeating the Lake Forest Foresters 3-1 (16-25, 25-15, 25-15, 27-25) and falling to the sixth-ranked Colorado Tigers 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-7).
In the match against Lake Forest, Lindsey Koch (Hudson, Iowa/Hudson) led Coe in kills with 15. Sarah Lehman (Iowa City, Iowa/Regina) recorded nine kills, while Jaimee Rindy (Gypsum, Colo./Eagle Valley) and Aryn Meisinger (Gothenburg, Neb./Gothenburg) finished with eight. Meisinger added another 34 assists, while also having 10 digs, earning her first double-double of the season. Madi Miller (Coralville, Iowa/West) and Ali Arns (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock) also totaled 10 digs, while Lehman had 13. Rindy was the only Kohawk with a solo block, tallying three solos and one block assist.
Against #6 Colorado College, the Kohawks totaled 27 kills while the Tigers finished with 45, and a kill percentage of .453. Koch led Coe in kills (8) and digs (7). Meisinger added another 19 assists, finishing the tournament with 82 assists total.
The Kohawks return to action Tuesday, as they face the Duhawks in an Iowa Conference opener. The match is schedule to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Dubuque. A link to live video and stats will be available at CoeAthletics.com.
