DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe Volleyball team battled their way through five sets, defeated the Loras Duhawks in the teams' first Iowa Conference match-up of the season.
Leading the Kohawks in attempts, kills and digs, Lindsey Koch (Hudson, Iowa/Hudson) had a record-breaking night. She tied her personal record of kills at 23 and broke her single-match digs record by 12, recording 33. Koch also broke her record of 53 attempts, totaling 60, which also ranks fifth in school history for single-match attempts in five sets. This is Koch's third time this season achieving a double-double.
Jaimee Rindy (Gypsum, Colo./Eagle Valley) recorded 13 kills for the Kohawks, while Sarah Lehman (Iowa City, Iowa/Regina) had eight and Aryn Meisinger (Gothenburg, Neb./Gothenburg) ended with seven. Meisinger also had a record-breaking night, breaking her 37 assist record with 45 assists against the Duhawks.
Madi Miller added another 20 digs, while Lehman and Meisinger each had 14, and Ali Arns (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock) totaling 11. Rindy led the Kohawks in blocks with four block assists.
The Kohawks return to action Friday as they take on the Cornell Rams. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Kohawk Arena. A link to live video and stats will be available at CoeAthletics.com.
