CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe won six matches by technical fall and one by fall in a 43-3 win over Buena Vista Wednesday night at Eby Fieldhouse.  With the win, the Kohawks have scored over 40 points in each of their Iowa Conference matches.
Junior Clayton Rush (Aledo, Ill./Aledo) kicked things off with a 24-9 technical fall at 125 pounds over Aaron Davenport.  Davenport was one of just three Beavers to enter the match with a winning record.  Third-ranked Rush scored the most points of any Kohawk and was one of four to score over 20 points.

At 133 pounds, freshman Drew Hinschberger (Belle Plaine, Iowa/Belle Plaine) improved to 5-1 on the year with a 5-1 win over Austin Mogg, whom entered the match with a 10-2 record, the most wins on the Beaver squad.

Sophomore Jordan Westfall (Riverside, Iowa/Highland) made quick work of Tim Vore, as he took a 20-4 technical fall in 3:11.  Westfall's win put the Kohawks ahead 13-0.  Senior Mark Carey won his fourth-straight match with a 15-0 shutout of Josh Allen in 4:05.

Fellow senior Tyler Baker (Byron, Ill./Stillman Valley) earned the Kohawks only pin of the night, as he beat Luke Harm in 1:31.  The Baker fall gave the Kohawks a 24-0 lead heading into five-straight matches of ranked Kohawks to close the night.

Second-ranked sophomore Nick LeClere (Coggon, Iowa/North-Linn) beat Nate Tool 20-4 in 5:50.  With Coe leading 29-0, Buena Vista's Tyler Winkleman scored a 12-11 upset of fifth-ranked Seth Rehn (Oceanside, Calif./Vista) at 174 pounds.  Rehn was in position to win the match in the final seconds, but couldn't pull the takedown in.

Senior Tyler Burkle (Coggon, Iowa/North-Linn) earned the quickest technical fall of the night, as he beat Kevin Chilton 17-2 in 3:03.  Third-ranked Burkle ran his record to 7-2 with the win.  Fourth-ranked senior Rob Kramer (Swisher, Iowa/Prairie) improved to 6-2 with a 13-0 major decision over Brian Broll.

Sixth-ranked senior Mitch Sander (Clarence, Iowa/North Cedar) closed the match with a 21-5 technical fall in 6:36.  Sander improved to 8-1 with the win.
