CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Coe College women's golf team cut a stroke off its first-round score on Saturday, as the Kohawks wrapped up the first weekend of the Iowa Conference Women's Golf Championships.
After two rounds, Jade Hess (Fonda, Iowa/Newell-Fonda) leads the way for the Kohawks with a 191 after shooting a 96 on Saturday to put her in 35th place. Katie Mason (Mason City, Iowa/Newman) is just behind Hess, as she shot a 103 on Saturday to sit in 37th with a 202 after two rounds.
Brooke Ransom (Mexico, Mo./Mexico) shot a season-low on Saturday, as her 100 gave her a 207 for the two rounds and sits in 39th place. Kali Nash (Wichita, Kan./Southeast) shot a 126 on Saturday and is in 44th with a 251 for the two days. Adrianna Jones (Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar) rounded out the scoring for Coe, as she shot a 126 on Saturday to be in 45th place with a 255 for the two days.
Coe is ninth as a team with an 851 over the two days after shooting a 425 on Saturday. Central leads the team race with a 645, a two-stroke lead over Wartburg and six-strokes better than Luther. Wartburg's Brooke Klostermann leads the individual race with a 150 going into next weekend.
