CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - For the first time this season, the Kohawks have two wrestlers ranked number one in the nation.  Thanks to big weekends at the Desert Duals, sophomore Nick LeClere (Coggon, Iowa/North-Linn) and senior Tyler Burkle (Coggon, Iowa/North-Linn) both moved to the top spot from second.

Six Kohawk wrestlers are ranked in the top 10 of the NWCA Individual Polls.  At 125 pounds, junior Clayton Rush (Aledo, Ill./Aledo) remained second at 125 pounds.

At 157 pounds, sophomore Dale Handley (Toddville, Iowa/Alburnett) remains ninth, while seniors Rob Kramer (Swisher, Iowa/Prairie) and Mitch Sander (Clarence, Iowa/North Cedar) round out the rankings for the Kohawks.  Both are ranked sixth in the country, with Kramer at 197 pounds and Sander at heavyweight.

In the team rankings, the Kohawks remained in third, as the top five remained unchanged. Wisconsin-La Crosse remains in first, followed by Augsburg.  Ithaca and Wartburg round out the top five.

The Kohawks return to action Jan. 3 as they travel to the Matman Invite, hosted by Cornell College.
